California Privacy Notice

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy for California residents where the CCPA/CPRA applies.

No Sale of Personal Information

Lainey does not sell personal information for money. If future advertising or analytics practices constitute a sale or sharing under California law, Lainey should provide a Do Not Sell or Share link and honor opt-outs.

Requests

California privacy requests can be sent to support@lainey.app. We may verify your identity before responding.

1. Categories Collected

  • Identifiers such as email address, account ID, order ID, IP address, support identifiers, and payment processor IDs.
  • Commercial information such as plans purchased, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, rewards, and support records.
  • Internet or electronic activity such as app usage, logs, cookies, local storage, device/browser data, and security events.
  • Geolocation-related information such as approximate country from IP headers or a manually selected destination preference.
  • Inferences and preferences such as destination interest, language, currency, recently viewed destinations, notification preferences, and marketing consent.

2. Sources

We collect data from you, your device/browser, payment processors, eSIM infrastructure providers, authentication providers, Cloudflare, support tools, and internal systems.

3. Purposes

We use personal information to provide eSIM plans, process payments, create accounts, support subscriptions, deliver customer support, prevent fraud, secure the service, administer rewards, comply with law, and improve Lainey.

4. Disclosure Categories

We disclose information to service providers and contractors such as payment processors, eSIM providers, hosting/security providers, authentication providers, email providers, support tools, analytics/logging tools, and professional advisors.

5. Sensitive Personal Information

Lainey does not request sensitive personal information for ordinary use. Some account credentials, precise payment data held by processors, or security data may be treated as sensitive under law, and we use it only for permitted service, security, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes.

6. California Rights

  • Right to know/access categories and specific pieces of personal information.
  • Right to delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing if applicable.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable.
  • Right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

7. Retention

We retain information for the period reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain orders and subscriptions, comply with tax/accounting/legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and secure the service.

8. Authorized Agents

Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
