Terms of Service
These terms explain how Lainey eSIM purchases, digital delivery, accounts, refunds, Subscribe & Save renewals, rewards, and support work. They are written for customers, but should still be reviewed by counsel before launch.
Subscribe & Save
If you choose Subscribe & Save, you authorize Lainey to save your payment method through our payment processor and automatically renew the selected plan on the same eSIM when the plan runs out of data or expires. The renewal charge is the then-current eligible plan price shown by Lainey, less the subscriber discount then offered.
You can cancel future renewals at any time from your account or through the guest access flow using the email and access code from your order. Cancellation stops future charges. It does not remove data already delivered or refund a renewal that has already been provisioned unless the refund policy below applies.
Account Notice
When you buy with an email address, that email may become a Lainey account. Sign in with an email code. We do not bundle marketing consent into account creation.
Refund Policy
eSIMs are digital products. Once an eSIM has been delivered, installed, activated, provisioned, or used, refunds are limited because the plan may already be assigned by our provider and cannot always be returned.
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. Within that window, we will review requests from eligible cases only: duplicate charges, failed provisioning (for example, you paid but never received a working eSIM), technical failures caused by Lainey or our provider that support cannot resolve, or other cases required by law. Requests made more than 30 days after purchase are not eligible for a refund, except where required by applicable law. We generally do not refund device incompatibility, locked devices, accidental purchase, change of mind, poor coverage caused by local network conditions, or use outside the supported destination or device settings.
To request review, contact support@lainey.app with your order email, order details, device model, destination, screenshots if relevant, and a description of the issue. Your statutory rights, if any, are not limited by this policy.
1. Who These Terms Cover
These Terms of Service apply when you browse Lainey, create or access an account, buy an eSIM data plan, use guest access, contact support, join rewards, or use any related Lainey service. By using Lainey, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service We Provide
Lainey sells digital eSIM data plans for travel. Plans may be local, regional, or global and may vary by data amount, duration, supported countries, network availability, speed, throttling rules, and provider limitations. We are not a mobile network operator. Connectivity is supplied through carrier and eSIM infrastructure partners, and actual coverage or speed can vary by device, location, network conditions, and local carrier rules.
3. Device Compatibility
You are responsible for confirming that your device supports eSIM, is carrier-unlocked, and can use data roaming in the destination where you plan to travel. Lainey may provide compatibility guidance, but you are responsible for checking your exact device model, carrier lock status, and destination requirements before purchase.
4. Account Creation and Guest Access
When you purchase with an email address, Lainey may create a customer account for that email so you can access your order history, eSIMs, subscriptions, support, and rewards. We do not create a password. You can sign in with an email code or a supported social login. Guest access codes may also be provided so you can view an order or cancel a subscription without signing in.
5. Orders, Delivery, and Activation
After successful payment, we attempt to provision your eSIM and provide QR code and manual installation details. Your plan validity usually starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported destination network, but provider-specific rules can vary. Install the eSIM while you have reliable internet access and keep your activation details private.
6. Your Responsibilities
You must provide accurate billing and contact information, keep account and guest access details secure, comply with applicable law, and use Lainey only for lawful personal or business travel connectivity. You may not resell plans, abuse networks, interfere with the service, reverse engineer activation flows, or use Lainey for fraud, harassment, spam, or unlawful activity.
7. Payments
Prices are shown before payment. Taxes, currency conversion, bank charges, roaming charges outside the purchased plan, or carrier fees may apply depending on your location, payment method, device settings, and bank. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we may use. Lainey does not store full card numbers on its servers.
8. Rewards and Promotions
Points, referral credits, discounts, and promotions are optional loyalty features. We may change, suspend, limit, or end them at any time. Rewards have no cash value, are not transferable except as expressly allowed in the app, and may be withheld or removed for suspected abuse, refunds, chargebacks, fraud, or violation of these terms.
9. Support
Support can help with installation, troubleshooting, order access, and subscription questions. We may ask for account, order, device, destination, or network details to diagnose an issue. Support cannot guarantee network coverage, device compatibility, or uninterrupted service from third-party carriers.
10. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Lainey, cancel orders, revoke rewards, or refuse service if we believe there has been fraud, payment failure, chargeback abuse, security risk, unlawful conduct, network abuse, or violation of these terms. You may stop using Lainey at any time and may delete your account in settings.
11. Disclaimers
Lainey is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity, exact speeds, support for every device, availability in every location, or error-free operation. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lainey will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, missed travel, lost data, loss of connectivity, or costs from relying on the service. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected Lainey order.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects an active subscription or your rights, we will provide notice where required by law.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms, refunds, subscriptions, or support requests can be sent to support@lainey.app.
